Help Nourish Every Mind!

Every parent in Issaquah needs to know about the important work that The Issaquah Schools Foundation /Communities In Schools of Issaquah  does to help support our local kids and schools.

Since 1997 our school has received $66,500 from the Issaquah Schools Foundation/Communities In Schools In Issaquah in grants.  These grants provided enrichment in the areas of arts, emerging curriculum, language, literacy, math, science, and technology.  Various programs and materials were provided to enhance individualized learning of science (physics and biology) and ecology.  Other equipment/software purchased included a ceramics kiln and pottery wheel, language mastery software, special needs technology, and lab equipment including digital microscopes.  Other areas that were studied were government and robotics.

In the last two years, we received $34,300 which included:

Ceramics Pottery Wheel Grant - Purchased 10 pottery wheels to be incorporated in the the Ceramics curriculum.

First Robotics Competition - Carol O'Neill Technology Grant - Fund participation in the First Robotics Competition which inspires students to explore science and technology as members of a team.
