Information and Announcements

Thank you to Claudia Cote and Cathy Blankenstein for the time and hard work they dedicated to making sure that all of our seniors completed their Senior Culminating Projects. Their organization helped the project run as smoothly as possible. We also want to thank all of the community members who volunteered their time for the Senior Exit Interviews and congratulations to the seniors for completing this project!

Does your teen love dance? Do they want to perform for their peers as well as compete? Then have them come to the Issaquah High School dance team tryouts! There will be a mandatory informational meeting for parents and teens in the Issaquah High School library on Thursday May 1st at 7pm. The actual tryouts will be held in the main gym of Issaquah High School from Monday, May 5th to Friday, May 9th, 3-6pm. Be ready to learn new choreography for lyrical and hip hop dances, as well as work technique. Boys and girls of all levels of experience (9th-12th grade) are encouraged. For more information e-mail Kristen Doyle (Coach) at doylek@issaquah.wednet.edu. Hope to see you there!

PTSA

Mark your calendars for  May 19 at 7 PM in the Commons to explore:

Navigating the College Search and Application Process: Finding the Fit...Thoughts & Ideas for Personalizing the College Search/Selection Process.  This unique PTSA event will feature an IHS alumni student panel and  expert speaker, Claire Nold-Glaser, an independent college counselor. Experienced, recent IHS alumni will answer your questions and provide their own anecdotal stories and perceptions of their college search and selection process.  They will address their current college experience and answer questions about their preparation for college including parental involvement, things that worked well, as well as things they could have done differently to better prepare themselves for the college search and application process. Interested 9-11th grade students and their parents are welcome and  will benefit greatly from this action packed evening. There will be time for questions and answers.
