Issaquah High School E-News
March 31st – April 4th
Information and Announcements
IHS Rebuild News: Principal, Paula Phelps, visited all sophomores and juniors last week to dialogue with the students regarding the rebuild and the challenges that students may face. Student input is incredibly important and we want to put students and parents at ease as we go through the rebuild. As a result of these discussions with students, we will put together a list of FAQ’s that will go out to students and parents periodically.
Two committees are forming to help address some changes due to the rebuild. If students are interested in either of these committees, they may give their name to Cathie Foote in the main office by Friday, April 4th and they will be contacted with more information. These committees are The Carpool Incentive Program Committee and The Moving to Two Lunches Committee.

PTSA
The next PTSA meeting will be Friday April 18 at 9:30 AM in the library. The election of 2008-09 officers will be held and the membership will consider taking a position on a resolution that would support making the new third year math graduation requirement for the state be designated as Algebra 2 or a Career and Technical course that aligns with Algebra 2. We are thrilled to present as our program, speakers from the Science and Management of Addiction Foundation (SAMA) who will speak about the scientific findings related to teen addiction and the biological and social obstacles to recovery around 11 AM.
