Welcome to Our Class

We're happy to have you, and hope you have a good year with us.

Some information about C-2, and your responsibilities here-

Our extra credit points are accumulated and added to your grade at the end of each semester, and figured this way:

every 300 points = 2% elevation in grade points.

For both European Studies, and Northwest/Washington State History, the information below will help you through-

The EURO  books that you receive are new and will need to be covered.  They are valued in the $82.00 range so be careful with them.  They are heavy, so your backs are forewarned!

Washington History books will also need to be covered.

Mr. Mickelsen would really prefer that your maps be colored in with Mr. Sketch type markers, as this makes it easier for him to see.  Mrs. Fine, however, will be reviewing each map for accuracy, and the KeyLater on, as the maps get more detailed, colored pencils may suffice.

Water is the only beverage allowed in class.  With the exception of our diabetic students, food in class is NOT permitted during class time.  This is more than a matter of politeness- it is actually a safety issue as well because Mr. Mickelsen's vision is limited. Eat lunch/breakfast OUTSIDE class please.

While just about all of us carry Cell Phones now, they are not to be out at anytime while class is in session.  If your phone is on your desk, it needs to be put away-- in your backpack, or bag.

If it is being used, it will be taken away from you,

and retrieved the next day from your administrator.  If it makes another appearance, your parent will need to come to the school and retrieve it from the administrators.

Homework is due the day of our chapter tests, but may certainly be turned in earlier to Mrs. Fine.   On any assignment, if you forget to put your name on your paper, it will be discarded, and this would include tests as well.  There are too many students to have a "No-Name box"- sorry.

Also-there is Never, Ever for ANY reason, the opportunity to re-take a test.

If your parents would like a progress report, on either a regular or irregular basis, please provide Mrs. Fine with their preferred e-mail address.

return from an absence to turn in work due to illness is calculated equal to the number of days missed.

Please refer to the dress code outlined in your planners.

If you have any questions--Please do not hesitate to talk with us!
