Concert Chorale  Vocal Jazz Hi Tones In Harmony

Concert Chorale

The Concert Chorale is an ambassador group for Issaquah High School.  We will be performing at community events as well as doing assemblies for other schools.  School assigned choir robes are well suited to performing formal concerts and contests, but our more active events will require us to wear IHS choir shirts.  Cost of CC shirts is $27.00 and should be paid to the cashier by October 1.  Students may be denied participation in a performance if not in the correct attire and will be marked unexcused.  Choir outfits are as follows:

  • IHS choir shirt: tucked in
  • Black dress slacks: You will want to have a pair that fits you well.  We will be tucking in shirts, so tight pants will not be appropriate.
  • Black socks/nylons:  SOLID BLACK ONLY
  • Solid black closed-toe shoes.  No tennis shoes, no heels.
  • Black belt: if needed
  • No necklaces
  • V-neck undershirts for men:  No underwear showing
  • Hair pulled back from the face
  • Clean with NO PERFUME OR SCENTED LOTIONS, BODY WASHES, HAIRSPRAY, etc.  This is a professional courtesy in all singing groups.

CHOIR ROBES
will be assigned to students at the beginning of the year.  Robes will be worn for formal parts of concerts and for contest and will be worn over the choir uniform (above).  Students are responsible for transporting their own robes when used outside the building.  They are also responsible for returning the robes the next day.  Robes not returned will be considered missing and the student will be charged a replacement fine of $125.  Damaged robes will also need to be replaced; a fine will be assessed.

Vocal Jazz Outfits (Hi Tones & In Harmony)

As is tradition, outfits will be chosen by the students upon approval from the director.  Each member is responsible for purchasing his/her outfit.  It is important that outfits always be clean and pressed for performances.  These outfits are a group uniform and should not be worn during this year except for Vocal Jazz performances.  Students may be denied participation in a performance if not in the correct attire and will be marked unexcused.
