Want to get college credit for classes you are taking at Issaquah High School? It’s easy when you enroll in a Tech Prep class! WHAT IS TECH PREP? Tech Prep is a dual-credit program that provides an opportunity for high school students to receive college credit for taking certain high school courses. Currently, Issaquah High School has articulations with Bellevue Community College, Lake Washington Technical College, and Shoreline Community College Many four-year institutions and other community colleges will accept Tech Prep college credit. ADVANTAGES TO ENROLLING IN TECH PREP CLASSES:
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE? Students enrolled at Issaquah High School GRADE LEVEL: Most Tech Prep classes offer elective credits and are taken in students’ junior and senior years. LENGTH: Classes are either one semester or a full year. Check the table below for credit requirements. SCHEDULING: Classes are approved and arranged with your counselor. COST: Students pay a $25.00 registration fee for each college class. TRANSPORTATION: No transportation needed. These classes are all offered at Issaquah High School! AVAILABILITY: The registration process is the same for Tech Prep classes as it is for all other IHS classes and students sign up at the same time. CREDITS: See the website www.netechprep.org
