| My name is Thomas
Haff. I was born in Huntington, New York, on Long Island. My
younger years were spent on the north shore of Long Island going to
schools very similar to Issaquah. I wanted to see different parts
of the country and decided to pursue a chemistry and physics degree from
the University of Washington. During the first week of school I
met Melody Hamilton and we have been married for 30 years. We have
three daughters, two of which have graduated from Issaquah High School.
It sure was interesting being called "Daddy" in physics class.
I have been teaching physics for more than thirty years. I am now in my eleventh year at Issaquah High School. My wife and I are enjoying being Grandparents to two little girls. I enjoy outdoor activities especially fishing. I also like playing music on my violin and washtub bass. Teaching physics is a passion and I hope that you will enjoy your time in IHS physics.
