Hello parents, Dec. 1, 2008 We recently completed Chapter 4 Waves and Electron Configuration focusing on properties of waves, and how frequency, light, and wavelength are related to energy. Students will then take the properties of the dual nature of light to help explain the quantum theory of electron configuration. We are presently studying chapter 5: Trends of the Periodic Table and have the test date tentatively set for Dec. 11. Students are preparing lessons to teach the class and will be presenting those lessons starting Dec. 5. The class will be taking notes, asking questions, and will test review using a jigsaw technique. 2nd quarter deficiencies are due Dec. 5. We are
headed into the second half of the second quarter and students
are starting to understand that preparation is the key to success in chemistry.
Remember, help
sessions are after school and on Wednesday mornings for students who can't
attend after school because of school activities. |
